**CHEVRONS U16s QUALIFY FOR THE NATIONAL FINALS 2014!**

The u16s took on local side Allus in their quest for National qualification on 06th April!

The team and coaches were nervous, knowing their opposition would be ready to fight, but the Chevrons girls rose to the challenge and showed great skill and determination!

Chevrons key defensive players Anya Snow and Ellie Trotter worked well together, limiting the oppositions attempt to score, whilst Vicky Houfe was on top form as GS.

The team fought into the last minute and won 31-15.

This was a massive achievement, confirming their place at the National Finals, allowing them to finish 1st or 2nd following their final Regional match against Leeds next weekend!

The girls then faced Leeds Athletic in a battle for 1st place on Sunday 13th April, the team knew the were through and were missing players, a loss to Leeds sees them travel to the National Finals on 24th and 25th May, at Essex, in 2nd place.

**CHEVRONS U14s QUALIFY FOR THE NATIONAL FINALS 2014!!**

Chevrons u14s make it the last win of the qualifiers, fighting hard and beating local rivals Leeds Athletic 41-31, in a very entertaining match at the EIS.

The girls go through as number 1 in Yorkshire!!

With the best defence in the league Hannah Lamb and Charlie Burnett had to step up and stay solid, whilst Harriet Kirkwood ruled the Chevrons attacking circle. Captain, Phoebe Wilson, remained in control and lead the team to victory!

Chevrons were elated, having worked hard on both fitness and skill to beat Leeds, the opposition was fantastic and both teams put on a great performance.

The U14 Nationals Finals will be held in Sheffield, Yorkshire, on 10th and 11th May.
